Her guise by J. O. Y

Have you ever seen the depths of her despair?

Did you ever see her resist?

Was there any trace of sadness?

Hidden and locked out

Those emotions were nowhere to be found

You’d never say “I finally saw her breakdown” atlas

But you’d see her on her knees

She’d say it’s better than crying yourself to sleep

Her faith, always stronger than the waves of the Sea

You’d never see or feel it wither

Her walls were harder and higher

Everyday when it seemed like it’s never getting better

Her heart remained impenetrable

The trance she was in “never let them in” didn’t fade

Smiling through the pain was her theme
